THE OFTEN HERD ON FRIDAY 27TH SEPTEMBER 2024 - TOWN HALL LIVE KIRTON IN LINDSEY

THE OFTEN HERD ON FRIDAY 27TH SEPTEMBER 2024 - TOWN HALL LIVE KIRTON IN LINDSEY with The Kirton - in - Lindsey Rock Choir supporting

The Often Herd, from Newcastle, are one of the country’s upcoming bands.  They are Rupert Hughes (guitar & vocals), Evan Davies (mandolin), Niles Krieger (violin) and Sam Quintana (double bass).   The line-up might resemble an American string band, complete with driving energy, tight vocal harmonies and dazzling interplay but their vibrant transatlantic sound is coloured by their surroundings, the striking natural and industrial landscape of Northern England.  Their music is exciting to listen to.  They are tight, virtuosic and dynamic live.
Rupert and Evan write songs steeped in personal experience, drawing from a wide range of influences ranging from folk, Americana and bluegrass.
Their debut album 'Where the Big Light Shines' was released in June 2022 to great acclaim.
Flock to The Herd, you won't be disappointed.
As a bonus, support will come from the Kirton – in – Lindsey Rock Choir.

Tickets for this concert are priced at £15.  Get yours by emailing Brian at brianchudley@btinternet.com or by ringing him on 01652 649230.  You can also pop in to Morrisons Daily (Kirton) or buy them on line  from www.wegottickets.com
