Best Art Vinyl: Album Artwork Through the Ages Exhibition at the Collection Lincoln 22 October 2022 - 22 January 2023

Best Art Vinyl: Album Artwork Through the Ages

Best Art Vinyl: album artwork through the ages is a celebration of iconic vinyl album artwork from 1949 – 2021. This exhibition showcases the creativity and ingenuity behind the design of vinyl album covers, exploring the fascinating history and inspiration behind some iconic artworks such as Joy Division’s Unknown Pleasures, the Sex Pistol’s Never Mind the Bollocks and The Beatles The White Album.

At The Collection Museum, the exhibition is accompanied by the 18th Best Art Vinyl Award, an annual search for the most creative and well-designed record cover of the year. The Best Art Vinyl Award sees a diverse shortlist of the 50 best record covers of the year compiled by a panel of highly respected industry experts, artists and designers. You are invited to vote for your favourite work online, with the final winners revealed on 5 January 2023.

The exhibition is complemented by material from Lincolnshire Heritage Service’s archives and local lenders, inviting you to take a trip down memory lane and discover Lincolnshire’s surprising musical past. Explore newspaper articles about The Great Western Express Festival, Lincolnshire’s very own version of Woodstock in the 1970s!

Best Art Vinyl: album artwork through the ages is a touring exhibition in collaboration with The Civic, Barnsley and Art Vinyl.

22 October - 22 January 2023. Tickets: £5, £3.50 for concessions. 2 years old and under are free but must book a ticket.

The Brother Brothers @ Town Hall Live – Kirton In Lindsey, Lincolnshire 9 September 2022

The Brother Brothers headline Town Hall Live on Friday 9th September

THE BROTHER BROTHERS are identical twins Adam and David Moss from Peoria, Illinois.  Using minimal instrumentation and harmonies so natural that they seem to blend into one beautiful voice.  The evoke memories of Simon & Garfunkel and The Everly Brothers.  They are that good and this will be a concert not to miss concert.  It is guaranteed to be up there as the 'best of the year.
The brothers were not much older than toddlers when they started singing along to artists that their dad played for them.  Since then they have honed their sound and their music has earned them an international audience and rave reviews from the likes of Billboard and Rolling Stone Magazines.  They have performed coveted performance slots at many of America's leading music festivals.
In 2021 they released their beautiful studio album 'Cala Lily' and have followed that up on with the release of 'Cover to Cover' which features 12 songs written by the likes of James Taylor, Jackson Browne and The Beatles amongst others.  It is just superb.
Their live shows have a definite living room vibe, where the audience gets lost in the lush harmonies and warm acoustics of their performance.
There is also a top quality support act in will HANNAH READ.  Hailing from Scotland, Hannah is now based in New York.  Mojo Magazine described her as one of the finest singers of the time, as can be heard on her critically acclaimed solo album 'Way Out I'll Wander'.
TICKETS are priced at £15 and can be purchased from
