King King New Album Release

The new album 'Standing In The Shadows' has now been officially released on Manhaton Records.
Here to celebrate the launch is a video of our version of the Frankie Miller Classic, 'Jealousy' ......Enjoy! http://www.reverbnation.com/artist/video/11233085?eid=A349123_16835989_38941083_lnk1000

'By the time you reach the final track of Standing In The Shadows, you’ll be left in no doubt. They’ve nailed it. Aced it. Knocked it out of the park, just as you knew they would. If King King were a lesser band, with lesser balls, they might have folded under the weight of expectation that surrounds this second album. Instead, Alan Nimmo and the boys have taken everything the last two years have thrown at them – the rave reviews, the national awards, the sell-out shows – and responded with the best songs of their lives. ' - Henry Yates, Classic Rock Blues
'Standing In The Shadows' Available here:
You can catch King King playing live @ Lincoln Drill Hall on Friday 7th June. Tickets available from March 30 on 01522 873894.

Gabby Young & Other Animals @ Lincoln Drill Hall

Gabby Young & Other Animals Saturday 9 March 8pm @ Lincoln Drill Hall

The 7-piece Gabby Young and Other Animals was formed in 2008 and the band’s sound & look is as original as it is amazing. Young’s style combines Balkan brass, jazz and swing in a sound that has been affectionately dubbed Circus Swing. As famous for her extravagant costumes as for her soulful voice, her flamboyant show has been likened to Florence + the Machine and Paloma Faith, while her classically trained voice has been likened to that of Kate Bush, Tori Amos and Imogen Heap. This tour is to promote her second album, which is filled with often unexpectedly thoughtful, sophisticated songs that continually switch direction, from cool guitar, accordion or piano-backed balladry to furious trumpet and trombone-backed workouts.

We are playing this a lot because we love it. She is terrific live, a really big wall of sound”. Graham Norton BBC Radio 2 Support TBC Tickets: £10 adv (£12 on the day) 01522 873894
