Callaghan's story is well known. In 2010 she moved to Atlanta to record her debut album with Shawn Mullins, who continued to mentor her. Ten years of performing and winning fans all over America followed.
This concert is likely to be one of only four she is likely to play this year, as she is expecting her second child in June. Don't miss it.
She will be performing as a duo and move between piano and guitar throughout
the concert. Her vocals draw comparisons with the likes of Sarah
McLachlan and Carly Simon. Her songwriting chronicles the stories,
experiences and emotions which are part of everyone's lives. Her songs
range from joyous anthems like 'Best Year' and 'Crazy Beautiful Life' to
emotive ballads like 'When You Loved Me' and 'Broken.
During the pandemic Callaghan has been performing regularly on line, writing
and recording. Her new album 'Acoustic Coffee House Volume 3' is due to
be released in time for the concert
Support will come from Emily Lawlor, who is best known as the violinist with
The Dan Webster Band. During lockdown she learned to play guitar and she
sat down to write songs. She has a beautiful life and has a great future
as a solo artist.
Tickets
for this concert are priced at £14 and can be purchased from the Londis store
in Kirton, from Brian on 01652 649230 or brianchudley@btinternet.com or from

WAYout ARTS
Our friends over in Freetown are in pretty dire need of some new equipment for the studios.
If you have anything that may be of use, please
contact Hazel on hazel@wayoutarts.org - a long list of kit
is below, even if it’s not in great condition, we can find a use for it!
Laptops - any kind, PC or Mac. Mac
for music and video editing, PC for writing and internet research. For music
production MacBooks 2015 and later, for all other uses, any age will work.
iMacs for video editing and music production.
Instruments - guitars, especially bass guitars, keyboards,
saxophone and other brass instruments.
Sound cards, microphones, speakers and headphones for the music
studio and mobile studio…
Cameras for video shoots. DSLRs or
more professional cameras are welcome. Their trained filmmakers need to work on
more professional kit than they have. Beginners can use DSLR or handycams.
Tripods, drives, lights.
They are also always in need of memory sticks,
old, unlocked phones - they do not need to be smartphones. Many of
their members have no phone at all so the old push-button Nokias are just as
welcome.
