Last October Ross Wilson aka BLUE ROSE CODE
had to cut short his THL concert due to him being unwell. He promised to
come back with his band and they will be back on March 18th. They
will perform as a trio with lead guitar, acoustic guitar, bass and
keyboards.
Ross's songs
address universal themes of love, loss, travel and home. They are
variously painted in the vibrant colours of folk, Americana, country, soul and
increasingly, Celtic traditions. His music evokes a meeting of Van
Morrison and a young John Martyn with both men shipwrecked with a bunch of
Motown records. It is music not just to listen to, but music to
engage with and leaving you richer for the experience. It is
beautiful. Their 'Live at Celtic Connections' is one of the best live
albums you are ever likely to hear
As a band BRC are one of the best live acts around, selling out venues across
the length and breadth of the UK.
Make no mistake this concert is quite a coup for Town Hall
Live, as the band will play Queens Hall, Edinburgh and the Royal Philharmonic
Hall, Liverpool on this tour. Don't miss this concert it will be a
special evening.
An added bonus is that we have upcoming Yorkshire singer songwriter Carrie
Martin supporting BRC. Carrie recently played the Main Stage at Great
British Folk Festival.
Tickets for this concert are priced at £15 and can be purchased from the Londis store in Kirton, from Brian on 01652 649230 or brianchudley@btinternet.com or from www,wegottickets.com
