Bruce Lindsay Presents 'Two Bold Singermen and the English Folk Revival' YouTube Friday 19 March 2021 – 7pm

Bruce Lindsay is live on YouTube on Friday 19 March at 7pm presenting an enthralling hour’s exploration into traditional English folk music, told through the lives of Norfolk’s own legendary folk-singers Harry Cox and Sam Larner on the year of the 50th anniversary of Harry’s death. An amazing journey of traditional song: how ‘Black Velvet Band’, ‘Wild Rover’ and many more influenced the evolution of folk music, politics and protest in the 20th and 21st centuries.

The incredible achievements of Harry Cox and Sam Larner – farm worker and trawlerman - that found their way to Ewan McColl, Peggy Seeger, Bob Dylan, Fairport Convention, Steeleye Span and many more.

Hear the songs and understand the fascinating history of centuries. With Bruce Lindsay, Maddy Leedham and Tom Harrison.
