Lincoln Drill Hall on
Sunday 13 October – it’s a bold, brilliant and
imaginative show for the whole family.
Red Earth Theatre will be joined on tour by the folk trio,
Threaded who have created brand new compositions for the show which
they’ll play live as part of the show’s action. With Threaded’s energy, passion
and outstanding musicianship, it’s the perfect way for children and families to
enjoy folk music together! I wondered if you might be able to help us to
spread the word about this show to your contacts through social media, email and
word of mouth?
Here’s what the press
have said about Threaded:
'The music quite simply dazzles' FATEA
'An absolute joy to listen to.' Folk Radio UK
'Creative, clever and captivating music of instant allure
and appeal.' The Living
Tradition
Set somewhere north of the Arctic Circle, Soonchild
is the story of John, his wife and their baby, the Soonchild – who refuses to be
born until she can hear the World Songs.
Follow John on a thrilling quest as he meets a
constellation of cool characters including the most magnificent of all Polar
creatures – the Ice Bear. John must find the World Songs and save the world,
before it’s too late.
Soonchild brings Russell Hoban’s enduring story
magically to life using fantastical 3D and shadow puppets, superb storytelling,
integrated sign language, creative captioning, live music, plus a whole lot of
fun and surprises along the way.
