Cheap Trick Reschedule UK Tour & Premiere a New Song

Planet Rock report that In a Cheap Trick news double whammy, the Illinois rockers have rescheduled their English tour for February 2022 and premiered their brand-new song ‘Light Up the Fire.’

Originally set to take place in April 2021, Cheap Trick will now open their short run of shows at Newcastle Boiler Shop on Tuesday 1st February and call in at Manchester Academy, Wolverhampton KK’s Steel Mill and London O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire before culminating at Bristol O2 Academy on Sunday 6th February.

All original tickets remain valid

The quartet have also just premiered the brand new single ‘Light Up The Fire’ – the first taster of their
eagerly anticipated 20th studio album ‘In Another World’, which lands on Friday 9th April 2021.

Available to buy on a variety of formats, ‘In Another World’ features 13 songs and closes with a cover of John Lennon’s classic song ‘Gimme Some Truth.’

The Flaming Lips To Play "World's First Space Bubble Concert" In December

The Flaming Lips have announced a special show in Oklahoma City.

The septet will play the "World's First Space Bubble Concert" — where the band members and the audience are all housed in giant inflatable bubbles — at the Criterion on December 11.

The bubbles have frequently been used as part of the group's onstage repertoire since they first appeared encased in the plastic spheres at 2004's Coachella festival.

Having staged a series of trial runs, including a performance for family and friends, which they turned into a live video for Assassins of Youth, the band are ready to present a concert for the general public. Attendance will be limited to 100 people and tickets go on sale at 10am on November 13.

The Flaming Lips recently confirmed a handful of rescheduled UK and Ireland gigs supporting their latest LP, 'American Head', released in September.
