Billy, You Know That Nothing Really Ever Changes
Billy Bragg recently said...
"Last week I was backstage watching the scenes in Parliament Square, London, as the police charged into the crowds that they wouldn’t let go home. I saw some disgusting things that night, and no, I’m not talking about the Duchess of Cornwall with her mouth open being poked with a stick.”
Nothing ever changes Billy! It's back to the eighties for all of us old son.

Gibson Introduce Limited Edition of Gem Series B.B. King Lucille Guitars.
For Christmas 2010, Gibson Custom introduces a Limited Edition of Gem Series B.B. King Lucille guitars.
Based on the specs of Gibson Custom's B.B. King Lucille model, the Gem Series includes five new finishes, produced in 25 guitars of each colour: Sapphire, Amethyst, Diamond, Ruby, and Emerald.
Like the ES-355, these guitars are made to Gibson's classic double-cutaway semi-hollow design, but without the f-holes of traditional models, a modification originally made at the request of King himself to help cut unwanted feedback. A pair of alnico-magnet humbucking pickups translates playing nuances through the tone switching and stereo output capability on this model (also mono capable), while a modified hardware set completes the package.
The list price is $5,175.
Each Gem Series B.B. King Lucille comes with a Gibson Custom hardshell case, a special color-matched Certificate of Authenticity, a The Best of B.B. King Christmas Collection CD, and The B.B. King Treasures: Photos, Mementos & Music from B.B. King's Collection, a 160-page hardcover book.
You can reserve yours now at www.musiciansfriend.com/gemseries.

Muse In Trouble Down Under
Muse face legal action in Australia and could be banned from the country for five years after lighting up during a concert in Melbourne.
Bassist Christopher Wolstenholme smoked several cigarettes during the gig at the Ron Laver Arena on 14 December, say reports. He apparently initially tried to hide his actions by only puffing when dry ice fog rolled over the stage, but by the end was smoking freely between songs.
A spokewoman for the venue said Muse were warned before the gig not to light up. “Officials spoke to the band before and after the show and we were extremely disappointed when they decided to flaunt our strict no-smoking policy,” Jo Juler said. “They are known as an anti-establishment style of performance group, but it was still sad that they decided to go ahead regardless

Days of Dope & Hope - Willie Busted (Again)
Country legend and a bluecrow favourite, Willie Nelson was arrested on Friday morning during a stop by Border Patrol agents in Sierra Blanca, Texas allegedly in possession of 6 ounces of marijuana. Nelson had been traveling from California to Austin when his bus was stopped about 9 A.M. Border Agents found the marijuana on the bus and Nelson took responsibility for it.
Willie was taken to Hudspeth County Jail where he was booked on a misdemeanor and released on $2,500 bail. It is not known when he is due back in court.
Nelson has a long history with the law for marijuana and other drugs. In 2006, 1-1/2 pounds of grass was found on his tour bus along with hallucinogenic mushrooms. Back in January of this year, six members of his band and crew were arrested in North Carolina for moonshine and pot possession.
