Irish
alt-rock duo, Greywind return with cinematic new single and video
Following
the success of their acclaimed debut album, Greywind are back with their
brand-new single ‘Am I Asleep?’ – out now
Making little secret of their ambitious global plans,
Greywind are fast proving themselves as a force to be reckoned with. Raised in
the Irish town of Killarney, their mutual passion for expansive, stadium-sized
rock music has since propelled them beyond the confines of stifled opportunity
and into realms of superstar potential.
Produced by Romesh Dodangoda (Bring Me The
Horizon) the duo’s brand-new single, ‘Am I Asleep?’ bursts with textual,
cinematic magnitude. The track’s sweeping post-rock soundscapes alternate
between tender, evocative and aggressive. Steph O'Sullivan’s voice is the magic
ingredient that elevates Greywind into another dimension. And don’t miss the
epic accompanying video in our video box.
Their
music is Demonic rock in the style of System of a Down/Queens of the Stone
Age/Marilyn Manson/Muse. New single just out and EP coming in March, please
have a gander.

The National’s Bryce Dessner has announced a new classical album with the Australian String Quartet. Impermanence/Disintegration is out April 2 via 37d03d. Below, find the movements “Emergency” and “Impermanence.”
Dessner composed Impermanence for the Sydney Dance Company, which the company is performing this month at Sydney’s Roslyn Packer Theatre Walsh Bay before taking the piece to the Adelaide Festival in March. Rafael Bonachela choreographed Impermanence. The dance piece, as well as Dessner’s album, concludes with a string arrangement of ANOHNI’s “Another World.” Violinists Dale Barltrop and Francesca Hiew, violist Stephen King, and guest cellist Rachael Tobin comprise the Australian String Quartet. Impernance/Disintegration also features electronics and mixing from frequent Dessner collaborator David Chalmin.
Last year, Bryce Dessner contributed to Taylor Swift’s folklore and evermore. The previous year he released four albums: El Chan, When We Are Inhuman, the score The Kitchen, and his music for The Two Popes.
Bon Jovi's music video for the song "Story Of Love" will make its online debut on Thursday, February 18.
The track is taken from the band's latest album, "2020", which was released last October via Island
Records.
Originally
set for release in May 2020, "2020" was a completed album
with a breadth and depth of songwriting, titled for a challenging and pivotal
election year. Along with all of America, Jon Bon Jovi found himself
unexpectedly experiencing a world-altering coronavirus pandemic, followed
quickly by the staggering events of George Floyd's death and the ensuing
national movement for racial equality. He knew there was even more to say about
2020. Writing from a home studio, two new songs were born: "American
Reckoning" and "Do What You Can" encompass these
events and made the album a complete body of work.
Jon Bon Jovi delves into socially conscious matters such as
soldiers dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder ("Unbroken",
featured in the documentary "To Be Of Service"), gun violence ("Lower
The Flag"), our shared social experience ("Let It Rain", "Brothers
In Arms") and the political climate ("Blood In The Water").
