Announcement From the Joe Strummer Foundation Re Partnership with Technology Provider, Keemoji, To Release the JSF Keyboard on iOS & Android
with Mocha Global – the creators of the mobile keyboard application, Keemoji.
Keemoji is a
fully responsive customisable keyboard that makes it easier than ever to text
with your friends and family. With dozens of app integrations and interactive
features such as contact tagging, send messages that will power-up your chat experience.
We join a
handful of other forward thinking nonprofit organisations – Creative Youth,
Rockinghorse, Greyhound Trust & The Hansen Foundation – who also hope to
raise funds through their branded Keemoji keyboards.
Introducing
the JSF Keyboard
The Joe
Strummer Foundation mobile keyboard (#JSFKeyboard) is a
great way to stay in touch with everything we are doing - our projects, new
merchandise, gigs and events.
We hope that
leveraging mobile technology to help raise funds will allow more nonprofits to
reach and engage more supporters in a way not done before. Exciting times!
How the JSF
Keyboard will benefit our Foundation
The
fundraising element happens whenever you use the keyboard to buy something from
one of the thousands of online stores from Amazon, Next, Tesco etc.. an average
of 2.5% of everything you spend will be donated directly to the Joe Strummer
Foundation. At no extra cost to you or us.
So if you
spend £100 on your weekly shop then whoever you buy it from will give us £2.50.
Every time you shop. At no cost to you and with no extra effort you are
generating money for us from the shops you buy stuff from.
It’s a great
thing to do for us just by doing what you do already. We can really grow what
we do if lots of people use the JSF keyboard on their phones or tablets.
Key JSF
Keyboard Highlights:
§
Stay up-to-date with our news and updates directly
within the app

Mason
Hill have their origins in the
Glasgow rock scene. Originally in a teenage band, long time high school friends Scott and James had success
in a European battle of the bands competition, ‘Surface Festival’, winning the
Scottish section beating 12,000 other bands, which led to them playing the o2
in London.

Check Out Melodic Prog-Rockers ‘Mad Symphony’
Ted knew of powerhouse vocalist Kevin
Wright (The Wilds), whose raunchy and melodic vocal stylings a-la Bon Scott and
Robert Plant, fit the new songs perfectly; Kevin was quickly recruited into the
fold. To round out the lineup, the formative members didn’t have to look far.
Dave and Wes had both played with keyboardist Mike Russell (Sweeney Todd) and
bassist Amrit Prasad (Assault), but not always in the same bands or at the same
time. With the addition of Mike on keys and Amrit on bass Mad Symphony
immediately began recording their debut album and rehearsing.
Mad
Symphony will tell you that they write songs with a message of hope and
resiliency that harkens back to the glory days of rock and roll.
Screaming guitars, driving drums, and huge vocals combine with
melodic keyboard orchestrations and thundering bass to make the sonically
dense and raucous sound that is… Mad Symphony.
