Newport Folk
Festival and Newport Jazz Festival have officially announced their return for
summer 2021. The Folk festival will occur on July 23-27, while the Jazz
festival will occur July 30-Aug 1. The festivals will occur at Fort Adams State
Park in Newport, R.I.
In the
announcement, the organizers made it clear that “Newport Folk and Newport Jazz
won’t look exactly the same,” but they are nonetheless “thrilled to be bringing
music and artists back to the Fort.”
The announcement
also noted that organizers are working closes with state and local government
officials to “ensure that what [they] present will set a benchmark for safety
and transparency through our protocols and communication.” More details on
