The Little Unsaid - Full Band Tour October 2022 + Festivals

The Little Unsaid - Full Band Tour October 2022 + Festivals

The Little Unsaid is a musical vehicle for the diverse music of songwriter and band leader John Elliott. Born out of the English indie-roots scene of the 00’s, The Little Unsaid have built up a solid committed following, received glowing reviews and gained the attention of national media since signing with UK independent Reveal Records (home to award winning international artists such as Joan as Police Woman, Lau, Kris Drever and Eddi Reader).

In 2021 The Little Unsaid released two albums: the full band & experimental “Lick The Future’s Lips” followed by a contrasting, intimate solo winter music reflection “December Songs”.

Both albums were played on radio and reviewed with acclaim, and awarded Album of The Month by Folk Radio UK (the number one roots media platform in the UK). The band has frequently collaborated with renowned producer Graeme Stewart (who alongside engineering for Radiohead has produced Oscar-nominated film scores by Jonny Greenwood) and have received several awards for their work including: the Steve Reid InNOVAtion Award (PRS Foundation & Gilles Peterson, with mentoring from FourTet) and Help Musicians Emerging Excellence Award.

The band have played a variety of major Festivals (including Glastonbury) and their recent UK tour was described as “a soaring piece of sonic beauty…one hell of a show” (MusoMuso). During the Covid lockdowns, John created the Relay album project, collaborating on two covers albums with artists including Billy Bragg and Frank Turner to raise money for the Music Venue Trust.

All Down The Line – A People’s History of the Rolling Stones 1972 North American Tour

Hear the diesel drumming… all down the line! The 1972 visit to North America by the Rolling Stones was the first concert tour by the bad boys of rock since the ill-fated Alamont show in 1969. The tour has gone down in history as one of rock’s most celebrated, and this book brings together the eyewitness accounts of more than 250 fans as we travel across Canada and the United States with Mick, Keith and the boys, playing 48 shows across 23 states in just 54 days. Compiled by Richard Houghton

Thin Lizzy – A People’s History

It’s been 35 sad years since Phil Lynott passed away. This book takes you back to the glory days of the 1970s and 1980s, with the Thin Lizzy story told in the words of over 300 fan memories of Phil, Scott, Brian, Robbo, Gary, John – and Midge! It won’t be long ’til summer comes…. Compiled by Richard Houghton

Neil Young – A People’s History

Neil Young has been rocking like a hurricane since the 1960s. This book brings together the memories of over 400 fans of the Godfather of Grunge, whether performing with CSN&Y, on his own, with the Stray Gators, the Blue Notes or the mighty Crazy Horse. From early solo success to feedback laced guitar frenzy, this is the story of Canada’s greatest export to the world! Compiled by Richard Houghton.

Slade – A People’s History

For anyone who grew up in Britain in the 1970s, the sound of Slade is as much a part of their youth as wanting a Raleigh Chopper and a pair of platform boots. Slade – A People’s History is the story of the first band since The Beatles to have three successive singles go straight into the charts at number 1. Get down and get with it as over 300 Slade fans share their memories. Written by music journalist Malcolm Wyatt, author of This Day in Music’s Guide to The Clash, and Richard Houghton.

Goin’ Down De Mont

Leicester’s De Montfort Hall has been the venue of choice for live music acts going back to before the days of The Beatles. This collection of music memories of one of the Midlands’ most loved concert halls has been compiled by Bruce Lee Pegg, author of the acclaimed 2002 biography, Brown Eyed Handsome Man: The Life and Hard Times of Chuck Berry.
