Always active and never one to dwell on past successes Iain, who now lives in Holland, reformed Matthews Southern Comfort in 2005. They played to a sold out audience at Town Hall Live in 2018. BJ Baartmans is the lead guitarist in the band and first met Iain in 2003 and have been playing together ever since. BJ is up there with the best in the world. During lockdown the pair teamed up with each other to write and arrange an album 'Distant Chatter' that was produced by BJ and released last summer. It is a collection of rootsy Americana songs with an adventurous, colourful and gritty side to it, with ear catching hook lines and intriguing harmonies and stellar guitar.
