Architects Have Shared Their New Single 'Dead Butterflies'

Architects have shared their new single 'Dead Butterflies'.

The metal behemoths are back, with new album 'For Those That Wish To Exist' set to hit home on February 26th.

The ambitious 15 track album ties into our current dystopia, while also searching for moments of light.

Filmed during their recent live stream from the venue, it gives a glimpse of Architects phenomenal live power.

Tune in now…

Faith Guitars Announce the Launch of the Blue Moon Series ‘Venus’

Faith Guitars Announce the Launch of the Blue Moon Series ‘Venus’

The Venus OM Cutaway / Auditorium is the iconic shape that brought us to the consciousness of so many players over the years. It now becomes the second shape to grace the Blue Moon series following the launch of the Blue Moon Neptune Baby-Jumbo model in 2019.

The Faith Venus Blue Moon adds a new element to the series with its slimmed down body size and depth vs. the Neptune model. The Venus shape tones down the low-end frequencies a little, and in return ramps up the mid frequencies to produce a sweet voice with excellent clarity.

It uses Solid Figured Java Mango tone woods throughout the top, back and sides and is matched with a Flamed Maple binding, Macassan Figured Ebony fittings, and a Mahogany neck with a Macassan Figured Ebony fingerboard.

The Solid Java body wood features a translucent blue / indigo finish that brings the beautifully varied flamed grains to life – all accentuated by an all-over high gloss finish for a truly stunning looking acoustic guitar.

Tonally, players can expect a unique and interesting character from the Venus Blue Moon. Not as loud and punchy as rosewood nor as straightforwardly mellow as mahogany - it bears its own distinctive warmth.

The overall tone could be described as dark and moody. With reduced level of resonant overtones, the Blue Moon Venus is eminently controllable, balanced and resistant to feedback.

As with all our guitars, electronics come courtesy of Fishman - in the case of the Venus Blue Moon, the discreet and low-profile Fishman INK3 preamp system with Sonicore under-saddle piezo pickup. The preamp features a chromatic tuner, 3 band EQ and volume control.

Elvis Presley – Jailhouse Rock – Need We Say Anymore?

Elvis sings Jailhouse Rock...

Elvis Presley – Jailhouse Rock – Need We Say Anymore?

Elvis starred in the iconic movie Jailhouse Rock in 1957. The film was directed by Richard Thorpe and was extremely popular upon its release. Presley played the main character, Vince Everett. Everett was previously in prison for manslaughter after getting into a fight in a bar. He gets out and becomes a hugely successful singer, according to IMDb.

But Presley would injure himself in a bizarre accident while filming. According to the official blog for Graceland, the sprawling Memphis, Tennessee home where Presley resided, Graceland.com reports that Presley was performing the dance routine for an iconic moment in the movie at the time.

Fans who have seen the film know exactly which moment that we’re talking about. Presley sings his famous “Jailhouse Rock” and moves his hips to the music in a choreographed dance number. But when it came time to perform for the camera, the cap of his tooth became dislodged and he inhaled it into his lung. It must have been a very scary moment for everyone around him, and Presley had to have surgery to have the cap removed. The operation involved separating the vocal cords, but luckily there was no lasting damage. According to the website, it’s the reason why Presley’s character, Vince Everett, has an injury to his throat and vocal cords at the end of the movie when he’s punched in the throat.
