Dale Storr headlines Town Hall Live at Kirton In Lindsey this Friday, the 20th October 2023

Dale Storr headlines Town Hall Live at Kirton In Lindsey this Friday, the 20th October 2023

'If there is a better New Orleans style pianist than the outrageously talented Dale Storr, please

point me in his or her direction because he or she must be very, very special' - Blues in Britain Magazine.

Dale Storr is the epitome of a local boy made good.  He grew up on Hemswell and went to Huntcliff  School went in Kirton. His parents still live in Kirton, but Dale is based in Sheffield.
Described by the Jazz Journal Magazine as the 'piano man's' piano man and a natural treasure, Dale's musical journey has brought him recognition as one of the UK's leading exponents of New Orleans piano,

Inspired by his parents record collection, the evocative music of New Orleans quickly became a passion foe the schoolboy pianist.  His piano studies took him to Sheffield, where he established himself as a highly sought player backing many of the top blues stars from the UK and America.  However, the music of his beloved New Orleans was always going to take precedence and from 2008 Dale went solo with his acclaimed 'Sounds of New Orleans' concerts.

He has wowed audiences across the country and Europe with his intoxicating mastery of the piano and his vocal delivery for over 15 years..  Dale draws in the audience with the rich history of the music, telling stories of his much loved piano heroes.

Tickets are priced at £14.  They are available from Brian on 01652 649230/ brianchudley@btinternet.com, from Morrisons Daily in Kirton or www.wegottickets.com

Rod Picott Headlines Kirton In Lindsey Town Hall Live Friday, 29 September, 2023

Rod Picott  Headlines Kirton In Lindsey Town Hall Live Friday, 29 September, 2023

Rod born in New Hampshire, raised in Maine and has lived in Nashville for the last twenty five
years.  A former sheet rock hangar, he traded in his hammer and trowel for a guitar in 1998.  He has released 15 albums since then and has been coming to the UK since since 2000.  Rod is an ace storyteller, his songs are expertly crafted living creations filled with observations of the human condition.  He is one of our too little known songwriting treasures, and often collaborates with his childhood friend Slaid Cleaves.
In 2022 he released his latest album 'Paper Hears and Broken Arrows,  It is a collection of some of the strongest songs that Rod has ever written, ranging from the heart-breaking narrative of Sonny Liston's tragic life to rocking declarations of loyalty.  The album was produced by the renowned producer Neil Hubbard.
Live, he puts on a great show one that will be packed with fantastic songs covering his 25 years as a touring musician.  He will have the audience listening intently to his songs and entertain people with his between song banter.

Support will come from Nick Thurtell, a singer songwriter from Surrey..

Tickets are priced at £14.  They are available from Brian on 01652 649230/ brianchudley@btinternet.com, from Morrisons Daily in Kirton or www.wegottickets.com.
