Movember at Lincoln Drill Hall.

During the month of November members of the Drill Hall Team will be competing to see who can grow the best and most stylish moustache while collecting donations in support of testicular cancer charities.
You can support them by making a donation in the collection boxes located at the Drill Hall Box Office and Cafe/Bar.
Judging will take place at 11 am on Saturday 1st December in the Cafe/Bar.

Tues 6th	Jam & Open Mic Night Now on the FIRST TUESDAY OF THE MONTH.  Musicians come & join in – ALL genres welcome – backline provided which includes 1 x Drum kit, 1 x bass amp plus 1 x guitar amp, please bring own instruments. 8.30pm start.
Fri 2nd	De Ja Vu Roadshow combined with our “Count Up” (Mr Creature’s any type of music you wish…all you have to do is ask…..Disco) Celebrating Halloween, fancy dress if desired.  This is being combined with our annual ‘Count Up’ - monies raised over the year for Wish Upon A Star…final total presented on the evening. 8.30pm start
Sat 3rd	Still Remains UK (Metal/Rock/Alternative) We look forward to this band’s return to play some of their originals. Their style is very much a cross between the older style metal and newer, fantastic vocals and musicianship.  9pm start
Fri 9th	Acoustic Night.  Our monthly session (second Friday of each month) featuring Allan Grainger, performing unplugged rock classics with a few old rock’n’rollers for good measure, starting at 10pm.  We would also like to invite those who like to have a play and join in or, if they wish, play a few songs solo before our featured guest starts (please bring your own instruments). The idea is to enjoy a nice sedate evening soaking up the easy listening music that acoustic instruments offer.  (No Electric). 8pm start
Sat 10th	Verbal Warning (Old Skool Punk Rock) The Spirit of 1977, this Nottingham band has entertained Old Nicks’ audiences on several occasions much to the appreciation of all. 9pm start.
Sat 17th	Steve Fulsham (Power Blues/Rock) The Steve Fulsham Band are a slick, high energy Blues Rock Band based in Hull. Over the last seven years, this band has been travelling up and down the country delivering their own brand of Blues Rock, playing with the likes of Walter Trout and Wilko Johnson along the way. Steve is considered to be one of the finest guitarists on the circuit. 9pm start.
Sat 24th	Purple Spiral Project (Progressive/Rock).  Old Nicks welcome back this very talented young 4 piece from Wales and who have proved to show what great performers they are. Playing a mix of originals, influenced from artists such as; Rush, Tool, Pearl Jam, Extreme, Journey, Soundgarden and many others plus covers from bands such as Guns’n’Roses.  9pm start

Big Boy Bloater & The Limits

Bloater took up the guitar aged 11, influenced heavily by his father’s great love of music. Fronting his own bands brought him to the attention of many at a young age, but he took a step back in 2009 and spent 2010 writing and recording material that brought Big Boy Bloater to where he is today. You will be mesmerised by his hard-hitting vocals, enviable guitar skills and the ability to write catchy songs and clever lyrics.

Sat 13th	Skeleton Crew (Classic Rock/Rock) A hard rock quintet from Nottingham who effortlessly fuse hard-hitting riffs with memorable melodies and rich harmonies, and deliver it all with a complete absence of grace and decorum. If you like your rock music to pirouette down a catwalk wearing lycra and eyeliner then Skeleton Crew UK may not be for you. If, on the other hand, you prefer your rock music to make you feel like you’ve just been run over by a rather happy truck or some sort of tractor, then you could be in the right place. Its just good, honest, heavy rock and good honest loud people seem to really like it. 9pm start
Sat 20th	Random Solution (Classic Rock – Old to New) A Lincoln based 5-piece Rock covers band, who span the generations with music ranging from older classics to modern day. Good set of songs sung by Lincoln X-Factor winner, Danny Lambert together with a good set of musicians who deliver their performance to a high standard. 9pm start.
Sat 27th	Obzidian (Metal/Progressive/Rock) Old Nicks welcome back this very talented band from Stafford. Although ultimately aiming to promote their original material, they are versatile enough to play a full set of originals and classic rock/metal covers, introducing audiences gradually to their progressive, groove based metal original songs of powerful vocals, screamingly fast guitar solos and driving, thunderous bass/drum rhythm section.  9pm start.
