News From Graham Parker and the Rumour.

Written in Graham's second home of New York and recorded in just 6 days in the legendary RAK studios in London, Mystery Glue is an album of conscious rock that harks back to Graham Parker & the Rumour's genre-defining music of the 70's whilst paying homage to Dylan, reggae, soul and rock'n'roll.

Often cited as a major influence on Elvis Costello, Nick Lowe, Paul Weller and Bruce Springsteen, Parker's song writing prowess and live intensity lead Springsteen to declare "This guy combines the best of Van Morrison, Eric Burdon and John Lennon... he's the only guy around right now I'd pay money to see".

Pre-order now for your limited signed copy and you could win tickets to an intimate acoustic gig

The Graham Parker Duo (with fellow Rumour member and guitar legend Brinsley Schwarz) is about to head out on a UK tour, starting 15th April in Sale then travelling the length and breadth of the country.

The 1964 British Invasion Night @ Lincoln Drill Hall

The 1964 British Invasion Night @ Lincoln Drill Hall
Tuesday 20 May 7.30pm in the Café Bar @ Lincoln Drill Hall

The Beatles’ triumphant arrival in New York City on February 7, 1964, opened America’s doors to a wealth of British musical talent. What followed became known as the second British Invasion. While the Beatles were its undisputed leaders, the Rolling Stones, The Kinks, Dusty Springfield and a host of other British acts would, within a matter of weeks, dominate the US charts.

On the 20th of May, 50 years on, local musicians pay tribute to the British bands and artists of the mid-sixties who led this friendly invasion. Tickets: £5 from 01522 873894.

Musicians wanting to take part should email keith@bluecrowmusic.co.uk
