John Elliott is the songwriter and producer behind The Little Unsaid, a band that according to The Line of Best Fit has ‘trodden the leftfield alt-rock edges of prolificacy for some time with moments of melancholic brilliance.’ Winner of the Steve Reid InNOVAtion Award for boundary-pushing music, John has split the last five years between touring with The Little Unsaid and composing music for theatre, film and producing records by other artists. 'December Songs' is a new album of acoustic wintertime songs that marks his first solo release under his own name. The album was made in his South London home over one week during lockdown, with John staying up late into the nights and recording quietly in the corner of his living room, trying not to wake anyone! For me this time of year is tied up in rituals and a sense of myth that have been with me since childhood. Locked down and heading into winter at the end of this year that’s weighed so heavily on all of us, I found myself wanting to write stripped-back, comforting songs that captured things about Christmas that I’d miss this year. ADAM ROSS aka RANDOLPH'S LEAP 'Staring at Mountains' SOLO TOUR NOVEMBER 2021     Staring at Mountains is the debut solo album from Scottish singer-songwriter Adam Ross; a sparse and intimate collection of songs which blend tenderness, wry humour and poetry, scheduled for release in Autumn 2021. We are currently booking tour dates for November 2021. Staring at Mountains presents Adam’s distinctive songwriting at its most delicate, stripped-back and sincere. The majority of the album was recorded in the historic setting of Delgatie Castle in Aberdeenshire and takes a great deal of lyrical inspiration from the Scottish landscape, with song titles transporting the listener on a journey from the Cairngorm mountains to Sanna beach on the west coast. Adam’s folk music influences shine through on this album which features stunning violin accompaniment from Pedro Cameron (Man of the Minch) and vocal harmonies from Jenny Sturgeon. Human relationships are also at the heart of the album, with Adam taking inspiration from observational songwriters such as John Prine and Loudon Wainright III.   CLICK HERE FOR VIDEO   Adam Ross   Adam: “I wanted to present the songs as simply and honestly as possible. No overcomplicated production or digital trickery. Just the songs, sounding the way they sounded when I sat and wrote them beside a warm, glowing fire.” Since 2010, Adam has been making music as the lead singer in Randolph’s Leap, an indie-folk collective of up to eight musicians known for their joyful live gigs and prolific output. In 2018, the Randolph’s Leap back-catalogue inspired a touring theatre show called 'The Isle of Love' which depicted life on a Hebridean island as told through Adam’s lyrics. In 2020 Adam diversified his songwriting output, releasing a collaborative EP with Gareth Perrie under the name The Polychromes as well as a country-pop album under the pseudonym A.R. Pinewood.
