Celtic fun for all ages, starting at 10pm.  We would also like to invite those who like to have a play and join in or, if they wish, play a few songs solo before our featured guest starts (please bring your own instruments). The idea is to enjoy a nice sedate evening soaking up the easy listening music that acoustic instruments offer.  (No Electric). 8pm start

New Jazz 5 Presents the Karen Sharp Quartet

With Karen Sharp on tenor saxophone, Nikki Iles on piano, Dave Green on double bass & Steve Brown on drums. Since graduating from Humphrey Littleton’s band, Karen has developed into a major artist who is very much in demand judging by her busy touring schedule. She brings her new Quartet to the Drill Hall as part of an extensive UK tour, when she fronts what must be the to-die-for rhythm section of British jazz. Karen has a warm, singing tone, a melodic flair and a great sense of swing.
