This is the novel that shook the ‘American Dream’ and epitomised the teenage rebellion of the 1950s. It gave voice to what came to be called the ‘Beat Generation’ of underground America, with its love of rock and roll, drugs and motor bikes. Come and explore the life of this compulsive writer who anchored a particular time and place and changed what was ‘acceptable’ in literature for ever.

Café Society are a five piece jazz-groove group from London fronted by the irrepressible Tom Sochas and his unmistakable voice, the band have been gigging regularly with the current line-up of Sochas on keys, Chris Waller on guitar, Kenneth Cook taking the bass space, Josh Monro blowing sax and drums by Adam Williams, with plenty of vocal harmonies. This is music to make your feet move and your soul sing.

Jam & Open Mic Night.  Musicians come & join in – ALL genres welcome – backline provided which includes 1 x Drum kit, 1 x bass amp plus 1 x guitar amp, please bring own instruments. 8.30pm start.

Merlin’s Keep (Celtic Rock/Folk) Old Nicks welcome back this very talented Grimsby based band. An exuberant mix of original material with three- and four-part harmonies, covers of old favourites, and foot-stomping traditional fiddle tunes. 9pm start.

Dirty Olive (Kick Ass Rock’n’Roll) A Rock Covers Band covering the likes of Thin Lizzy, UFO, Whitesnake, Bad Co, Free, Rolling Stones, Montrose, Audioslave, Nazareth, Gary Moore, Rory Gallagher etc. A Classic Guitar Driven 4 Piece Rock Band......Playing Kick Ass Rock n Roll like it should be.  9pm start

Acoustic Night.  Our monthly session (second Friday of each month) featuring Itchy Fingers, a four piece acoustic band playing Ragtime, Country Blues and Acoustic Blues from the 1900's thru to the 1940's. The band comprises: Guitar, "National Steel" style bass, washboard and mandolin, starting at 10pm.  We would also like to invite those who like to have a play and join in or, if they wish, play a few songs solo before our featured guest starts (please bring your own instruments). The idea is to enjoy a nice sedate evening soaking up the easy listening music that acoustic instruments offer.  (No Electric). 8pm start

Jumpin Jax & the Barflies (Rock songs played Rockabilly style) This local 5 piece band will be playing a range of covers from such bands as Guns'N'Rosses, Navana, Stevie Wonder, Hank Williams, AC/DC and many more topped by the special sound that a double bass and a fiddle gives.  Well worth the effort. 9pm start

Firegarden (Classic Rock/Progressive/Funk) Old Nicks welcome back this band from Sheffield as it is always a pleasure to see these guys perform.  Firegarden are a band that believe in the expression of emotion in it's purest form: live and rocking! With a multitude of influences, from classic '70's rock to absolutely anything that excites your ears. They sound ‘British’, but not slavishly so. 9pm start

Casual Friday.  Last Friday of the month, we invite musicians for an informal Acoustic Jam. NO PA, NO MICS, NO AMPLIFICATION.  Start at anytime from 6pm onwards.
