Callaghan at Kirton in Lindsey Town Hall Saturday 22 June

TOWN HALL LIVE

 SATURDAY 22ND JUNE
CALLAGHAN

'Callaghan's effortlessly, sweet sounding, lilting, silvery vocals take you to a sun drenched place where worries are a thing of the past'

 with support from JOE MARTIN

Grantham girl made good, Callaghan is back at Town Hall Live.  She last played in March 2017 and a year later released he latest album 'Callaghan'
Her story is well known.  In 2010, whilst living in London she sent a demo tape to Shawn Mullins.  He was impressed and invited Callaghan over to Atlanta and offered to produce her debut album 'Life in Full Colour'.  It was a classic case of taking a risk and throwing your life into upheaval to chase your dreams.  She stayed in Atlanta for three years before moving to Nashville and then LA and has played all across America.  She constantly tours America, playing to packed venues across the country.  Obviously, she has not forgot her home roots and has played UK Tours for the last five years.  This will be the fourth time she has played THL and sold out the previous three.
Since 'Life in Full Colour' she has recorded three more albums 'A History of Now', 'Acoustic Coffee House' and 'Callaghan' and is in the process of recording 'Acoustic Coffee House 2'
Callaghan is blessed with a beautiful sweet and soothing voice, a strong knack for pretty and harmonic melodies .  She has a warmth and purity of spirit that shines through in her performances.  Her music blurs the edges between adult contemporary, pop and Americana.
She will will be accompanied by Ant Clark on keyboards.
Support will come from Lancashire singer songwriter Joe Martin, who has created a stir on both sides of the Atlantic, with his smooth voice and self penned songs.  He created a big impression on the THL audience when he supported Matthews Southern Comfort last October and has surely a big future ahead of him..

Advance Tickets are £14.00 and can be obtained from the Costcutter store in Kirton (formerly One Stop), from Brian on 01652 649230 or brianchudley@btinternet.com or from www.wegottickets.com

Venue:  Town Hall, Market Square, Kirton in Lindsey, N Lincs, DN21 4LZ

FRIDAY 12TH JULY
THE BLACK FEATHERS
headline

'The pure chemistry and subtle timing of their song delivery is as evident as the enjoyment radiating from their on stage chemistry'

and DANNY BRADLEY supports
The Black Feathers are Ray Hughes and Sian Chandler.  Soon after forming in 2011, they released their debut EP 'Strangers We Meet' and in 2015 released their debut album 'Soaked to the Bone'.  A year later they released a live album/Live at the Convent', which summed up their emotional and breath taking harmonies perfectly.  Since then they have released a Box Set of three EP's.
There is a sheer poetic beauty in their songs and a mesmeric and stunning quality to their live performances.  To complete their performances there is an easy going, dry humour between songs that make their audiences smile.
Support comes from Town Hall Live favourite Danny Bradley.  Danny hold audiences in the palm of his hand with unique versions of familiar songs and thought provoking songs of his own

Wild Harbour and Other Projects

WILD HARBOUR & OTHER STORIES - an intimate solo project by Scottish singer-songwriter ADAM ROSS (aka Randolph's Leap) 2019/2020

WH3
Adam Ross aka Randolph's Leap
Singer-songwriter Adam Ross (Randolph’s Leap) is proud to present Wild Harbour & Other Stories. This intimate solo project will preview songs from an exciting new folk music and theatre piece, alongside songs from Adam’s extensive back-catalogue.
Adam is currently writing an album of original songs inspired by the novel Wild Harbour by Scottish author Ian Macpherson. Written in 1936, the haunting story predicts the outbreak of a world war and documents its impact through the journal entries of the central character, Hugh, who refuses to fight. Hugh and his wife, Terry, flee to a remote part of the Scottish Highlands and begin a life of utter secrecy and self-sufficiency, residing in a cave and living off the land. The story depicts the dread and horror of the oncoming war, the difficult choice of pacifism, the practical adversities of the characters’ new life and the inevitable, tragic consequences. These darker themes are counterbalanced by the beauty and serenity of the Cairngorms landscape and the love and optimism shared by the protagonists. Changing seasons is another key theme, as their summer idyll gives way to an unforgiving autumn.

Wild Harbour & Other Stories - Adam Ross
This striking novel is relatively unknown, partly due to the author’s tragic death in a motorcycle accident at the age of 39, but it is a story that continues to resonate strongly with audiences. Work is underway to develop a script and present the songs as part of a theatre performance, however, this special performance is an opportunity to hear the songs as stripped-back works-in-progress. Adam will also perform a selection of new and old Randolph’s Leap songs, including those from the popular theatre show The Isle of Love.

Summing up the themes of his new album, Martin says: “The music and songs embrace nature and travel, mental health, real life stories, loss, politics and history… and the threads that bind all this together can be followed back a long way, to 1965 when I got my first guitar and started to soak up material and ideas at a very rapid rate.”
