Town Hall Live Outdoor Concert
AT
18 EAST CROSS STREET, KIRTON - IN - LINDSEY, DN21 4EA
Sunday 30th August 2020
featuring
Paul McClure
and
Third & Church
Town Hall Live is back for
a one-off outdoor concert, at the home of John & Val Donaghy, 18 East Cross
St, DN21 4EA
It's a chance to enjoy some live music in a socially distanced environment on a
lazy Sunday afternoon. It may be the only chance we get until the end of
the year.
Grimsby trio Third & Church will start the afternoon off, with their
renditions of American favourites.
They are followed by the charismatic and entertaining singer songwriter PAUL
McCLURE. 'The Rutland Troubadour', as Paul is known, will play a full
headlining set featuring songs from his three albums 'Songs for Anyone',
'Smiling from the Floor Up' and last year's 'Market Town', as well as some
recently penned songs. There will be no shortage of between song banter,
as usual. There is no one who can make you smile one minute and bring a
tear to your eye the next.
Bring your chairs, bring a picnic and enjoy a wonderful afternoon of live
music.
Note
that for this concert to take place, we have to comply with Government
Guidance for out-door performances.
The Event
will be fully Covid 19 risk assessed.
It

The music industry is
on it's knees at every level. If we can do our bit to help live music and
those who perform it then we should.

My Light Shines On: Celebrating Edinburgh's
enduring festival spirit
Covid-19 has not dimmed the creativity of artists, nor the enthusiasm of
all the people who make Edinburgh’s festivals. My Light Shines On is
an act of optimism and solidarity: a series of world-class artistic
interventions celebrating a spark that still burns bright. For the first time
since lockdown began, artists have returned to the venues they love to make
theatre together, to play music together, to sing together, to dance together
and to light up the skies together.
On 8 August, we celebrate what would have been the opening weekend of
the 2020 festival season. A specially commissioned film featuring new work from
artists across genres airs on our YouTube channel, Facebook Live and BBC
Scotland at 9.30pm. The film features famous faces from festivals across the
years, as well as collaborations with other Edinburgh
festivals.
This unique broadcast launches a series of new recorded activity, which
will be viewable throughout August on our YouTube channel.
