The last Glasshouse Acoustic Session of a 'most unusual' 2020 features live-streams and pre-records by Oakleas Rise (2pm), Tommy Philpot (3pm) and 2Steps 4Words (4pm).
Lesley Curtis and Stuart Mcleod are singer/songwriters who perform together as Oakleas Rise.
Together they have created their own unique style of music which crosses a range of genres including
country, rock, folk and pop. They released their debut album ‘Little White Lies’ in 2019 and have recently released two new songs ‘A Little Bit Of Understanding’ and ‘Nothing Lasts Forever’ in 2020.
During lockdown they have been working on new songs for their follow up album as well as various other projects. These include converting poems written by WW1 poet Arthur Choyce into song for a short film/documentary being made about the poet.
In normal times Oakleas Rise can be seen performing in venues and festivals in and around the Cambridge and Northamptonshire area.
Tommy Philpot is a singer/songwriter who specialises in upbeat, fast paced, acoustic music. Delivered with high quality vocals and skillful acoustic guitar playing.
Tommy plays his Spotify certified originals and a variety of covers from artists such as Ed Sheeran, Arctic Monkeys, Elvis, The Beatles, Oasis and many more!

2Steps 4Words are an acoustic music collective from the Fens and wider Cambridgeshire area. The current line up includes Robin 12 string guitar, footdrum and vocals, Richard on double bass and vocals, Stephen 6 string guitar with Joe on drums and percussion. Additional local musicians also join in on various songs. The music is along the alternative folk and acoustic indie lines according to those in the know and is delivered with a sense of humour.
The band have a few releases to date, including the Moving Along album and the most recent Stevens Mill e.p. release. Recorded with other local musicians and mixed during the first 2020 lockdown for the 200th Anniversary of Stevens Mill at Burwell, this release gained some larger radio station coverage including programme features on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire and Cambridgeshire 105 Radio.
