Drew is one of America’s finest song writers. His songs are descriptive and tremendously catchy.  They have been used in countless TV shows and commercials in the States. In 2013 Drew and his band released their finest album up to then ‘Good Life’.  It was on many critics ‘best of 2013’ lists. As a member of the internationally renowned trio The Wailing Jenny’s, Ruth has performed in sold out venues across the world and made numerous critically acclaimed albums.  Last year Ruth and band were invited to open for Mark Knopfler on his European tour and played 6 shows at the Royal Albert Hall. Last year she released a Christmas album ‘Each Christmas Till Then’ which features 9 well known carols along with two of her own Christmas songs. In May this year Ruth endeared herself to the audience when she played keyboards, bass and percussion in Kimmie Rhodes band.  She also plays in Beth Nielsen Chapman's touring band.  She impressed us so much that we immediately asked her back to play a special Christmas concert. Ruth is a multi- instrumentalist and has a unique style she pours emotion into her songs and music.  She will be accompanied by Clare Mulligan. Supporting Ruth and Clare will be Leeds band The Fireside Knights, who will also play a Christmas set. Doug and Telisha’s friendly and cheerful nature belies the serious tone of their material, which covers topics such a sexual abuse and murder, but their acerbic wit always creeps into their songs. Telisha plays upright bass and sings lead vocals.  She comes over all sweet with a sunshine smile, but with the subject matter of the songs she taunts and teases. Carrie Elkin from Austin, Texas is a born performer, possessing an infectious energy and having the most powerful voice which is revelatory and riveting.
Very few people in this world can captivate an audience live music, with just a voice and guitar the way Carrie can. Her songs are, at once, intimate yet universal, naked but richly adorned. When she was younger Carrie was a national champion gymnast, who then went on to study physiology at Ohio University to become an organic chemist.
Music, however, was in her blood and the attention she was gaining from her song writing gave rise to a career change as she began to record and tour across America. In 2011 she released her debut CD for Red House Records ‘Call It My Garden’ and the CD immediately topped the folk and Americana Radio Charts in the states.
In May this year she released a duo album ‘For Keeps’ with her partner, and soon to be husband, Danny Schmidt. It sees the two performers passing guitar back and forth and sharing songs, with each joining the other in harmony.
For the concert she will be joined by accomplished musicians Anthony Da Costa on guitar/vocals and Lindsey Verill on bass/cello/vocals.
Support will come from Manchester singer/songwriter Little Rach, who herself released her debut album ‘If You Go’ earlier in the year.

The Hut People are regarded as one of the most entertaining acts to appear on the folk scene. In their engaging and often hilarious show, they perform a truly unique high octane blend of music from around the world; perfectly formed and embellished, with foot stomping accordion and a mind boggling array of exotic percussion and dancing thrown in for good measure!

 Support will come from The Jon Palmer Acoustic Trio from Otley who themselves will take you on a varied and enjoyable music journey. One minute you will be tapping your feet, then in the space of a chord change Jon’s lyrics will tug the heartstrings.
