February, 2016
A contender for the stand out up and coming act of 2015 has to be Lauren
Housley. Fresh from two compelling shows at the O2 Blues Festival, Lauren's
unique blend of blues and soul marks her out as very much the one to watch for
2016 as evidenced on Live Nation and BBC Radio 2.
Lauren's debut album
'Sweet Surrender' is a killer, no filler affair with a number of tracks already
play listed or on prime spot play on Radio 2 by the likes of Chris Evans, Terry
Wogan , Jeremy Vine, Bob Harris and Robert Elms. all of whom know a good tune
when they hear one.
Lauren sings a soulful blend and Americana and can be
compared to the likes of Bonnie , Elkie Brooks and Dusty Springfield. She is
that good
Live, her voice is powerful or as subtle as you hear on record, if
not more so. Seeing her perform you really appreciate the fullness and texture
of her voice, whilst being hypnotised by her commanding stage presence. For her
Town Hall Live concert she will perform with her band that consists of Thomas
Dibb on guitars and keyboards, Chris Hillman on pedal steel and dobro, Mark
Lewis on bass and Craig Hanson on drums.
Support will be by Skye who is
making a welcome return to Kirton. It is three years since this Leeds
University music student last played THL as a 17 year old.
Advance tickets are priced at
£12.00. Tickets can be obtained from the One Stop store in
the town, from Brian on 01652 649230 or from www.wegottickets.com

CALLAGHAN
on Saturday 19th March
Callaghan is back! Although she will be playing bigger venues on this
UK tour she wanted to come back yo play Town Hall Live after the wonderful
reception she got when she played last April.
Callaghan's voice is
unmistakable. Her eclectic American pop sound stands out like a gem. She is a
truly talented performer and is a favourite of Bob Harris, Jeremy Vine and Alex
Lester.
The week before her concert she will again play the C2C concert at
Excel in London and is due to perform at Bob Harris's Under The Appletree
Festival in Silverstone at the end of May.
As Bob says 'Callaghan is
a wonderful artist, beautiful, warm and hugely talented'. We know that to be
true.
Advance Tickets for this concert
will be £12.00, and can be obtained from the usual outlets.
Following the
Callaghan concert it is Town Hall Lives' top concert band of 2015, THE
MIGHTY DOONANS. That is on Friday 8th April. Tickets are on sale
now.
We would like as many people as possible to come
and enjoy the concerts we put on. Why not ask your friends?

before any concert will get £1 off the ticket price on all tickets
purchased.
