Dec 2nd: Club Night
Last chance in 2018 to air your songs, tunes, poems and jokes

Dec 9th: Jassica Lawson & Phil Simpson
Jessica & Phil are influenced by Americana, folk and country. Together they deliver beautiful
harmonies accompanied by a myriad of instuments; autoharp, guitar, mandolin and melodeon to name a few. Expect some well known classics as well as a selection of traditional and self penned songs.

Dec 16th: Christmas Party Night

Bob Fox at Grimsby Folk Club Sunday 25 February, 2018.

Bob Fox, one of our finest exponents of storytelling through song, is currently playing SONGMAN This being one of them.

for a record third time in the prestigious 10th Anniversary WARHORSE Tour from 2017 - 2019 and is only able to do a very few selected solo performances during this period.
Don’t miss a chance to experience his warm, rich voice, virtuoso guitar style and newly acquired melodeon playing skill as he performs material from War Horse, newly written songs from the New Radio Ballad series along with old favourites from his many recordings.

4th: Spotlight Night (£2.00) Another evening of  local folk club members and those from the(not Running order)
wider acoustic music scene. Kirsty Greenfield, Wounded Healers, Matt Jones, Eddie Weeks.

11th: The Miles Roses Three piece touring collaboration for three respected solo songwriters Edwina Hayes, Kate Bramley and Simon Haworth. Edwina is well known to the Grimsby audience and Kate & Simon are part of Jez Lowes Bad Pennies. Born out of a musical interest in both British folk and the transatlantic connections to new country and Americana, this trio are fast gaining a reputation across the UK folk scene. Original songs and close harmonies, accompanied by guitars, bass, cittern, mandola, mandolin and fiddle.

This Coming Sunday at Grimsby Folk Club... Daoirí Farrell

Daoirí Farrell is leaving a legion of fans behind at every gig he plays, don't miss out,  see you all Sunday doors open 7.30pm   8pm start.

Daoirí won TWO 2017 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards: The Best Traditional Track Award for ‘Van Diemen’s Land’ from his album True Born Irishman, and the Horizon Award for best newcomer.

He became the All Ireland Champion Singer at the Fleadh in Co. Derry in 2013 and won the Danny Kyle Award at Celtic Connections in 2015 with the line-up Four Winds.
