With over 40 on-site adventure activities, there will be something to suit all tastes. From yoga, archery and Ceilidh’s, to climbing, martial arts workshops and Canadian canoe experience, combined with entertainment from circus entertainers, jugglers, stilt walkers and acrobats. Visitors are guaranteed a unique weekend away in rural Nottinghamshire.

A full programme of acts is being finalised, but already confirmed are some of the best bands in the world of folk. Flying in from Dublin, KILA are hailed as one of Ireland’s most innovative and exciting bands. KILA provided the soundtrack for Oscar nominated Irish film, Song of the Sea, and in 2014 headlined the St Patrick’s Day celebrations at Trafalgar Square in London.

The two on-site bars will be serving a great choice of real ales, wines and spirits, giving parents and guardians the perfect break, together with a range of food from around the world.

Damien Barber, Creative Director at Walesby Forest Festival, said: “We’re really excited to launch Walesby Forest Festival at Sherwood Forest. A full programme of events is currently being finalised, and is guaranteed to excite visitors of all ages. Whether visiting for a day or camping on-site and enjoying a weekend break in rural Nottinghamshire, the festival will give something back to the local community while giving both groups and individuals a weekend to remember in the heart of the Sherwood Forest.”

We are keen for all sections of the community to take advantage of the festival and would ask if you are able to display the attached poster on the staff notice board, if you require extra posters please contact Walesby Forest on 01623 860202 to discuss your requirements with our staff.

The Sensational Soul Band
Sat June 13 Skeleton Crew (Classic Rock/Rock) A hard rock quintet from Nottingham who effortlessly fuse hard-hitting riffs with memorable melodies and rich harmonies, and deliver it all with a complete absence of grace and decorum. If you like your rock music to pirouette down a catwalk wearing lycra and eyeliner then Skeleton Crew UK may not be for you. If, on the other hand, you prefer your rock music to make you feel like you’ve just been run over by a rather happy truck or some sort of tractor, then you could be in the right place. Its just good, honest, heavy rock and good honest loud people seem to really like it.

Sat June 20 Triton 56 (Prehistoric Crunchy Rock) From the ashes of Riff Raff come the offspring of…..Triton 56 playing ZZTop, Purple, Led Zep, Quo, AC/DC and all that kind of stuff…… WELCOME BACK!  One definitely not to miss.

Sat June 20 Verbal Warning (Old Skool Punk Rock) The Spirit of 1977, this Nottingham band has entertained Old Nicks’ audiences on several occasions much to the appreciation of all.

KIERAN GOSS

with special guest ANNIE KINSELLA

Performing @
Kirton Town Hall Live

Friday 22nd May

Long hailed as one of Ireland's leading songwriters KIERAN GOSS  is the next artist to appear at Town Hall Live.  He will be accompanied  by Annie Kinsella.  Individually they are both gifted singers, but when they sing together magic happens, their harmonies and their chemistry together are just sublime.
Kieran has played major venues across Europe and shared stages with the likes of Mary Black, Rodney Crowell, Beth Nielsen Chapman and Kimmie Rhodes.
His songs have been covered by many major artists and whilst his songs have made him a star, his live shows have made him a legend.  Rodney Crowell, a long time friend and collaborator gives this endorsement ' I have toured with Kieran and watched him perform many times.  I have seen him win the hearts of everyone in the room, not just with his great songs and instinctive musicality, but with his warmth and humour.  Kieran Goss is one of Ireland's natural treasures'
In November and December 2014 followed up a 30 date concert hall tour of Germany and Switzerland with reunion concerts with the legendary Mary Black at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.
In may this year he embarks 19 date tour of the UK and his concert in Kirton is the 12th date of the tour.  Don't miss it because make no mistake, Kieran is one of the most gifted performers around today.  He has an amazing ability to reach out to the audience an connect with them in a special way.  This guy is the real deal.
Support will come from North West duo Mairead O'Donnell and Lorna Bird.  They have been part of the UK music scene since the 90's and recently returned after a short break.  Mairead provides melodic guitar for the two perfectly blended voices.

Advance tickets are priced at £12 otherwise £13.50 on the door. Tickets can be obtained from the One Stop store in the town, from Brian on 01652 649230 or from www.wegottickets.com

THE GOOD LOVELIES

For our June concert we welcome back The Good Lovelies to Town Hall Live.
It is exactly two years since their last appearance and their return is eagerly awaited by many of our audience.
The Good Lovelies are Caroline Brooks, Kerrie Ough and Sue Passmore.  They will be joined on their short UK tour by bass player MJ Dnadenau, who played at THL with Amanda Rheaume last September.
The Good Lovelies are funny, upbeat, with just a pinch of sass.  They sing text book three part harmonies, with each member taking it in turns to sing lead vocals.  During their set they constantly swap guitar, mandolin and banjo throughout their set.
They will be showcasing songs from their soon to be released 4th album 'Burn The Pa

Advance Tickets for this concert will be £12, and can be obtained from the usual outlets.
