Rita Payne are back!
Since their sold out
concert in February Pete and Rhiannon have been very busy. Their THL concert
was quickly followed by another sell out concert at The Greystones, Sheffield.
They have played numerous festivals and supported top acts at large venues
across the country.
In March they went into the Studio to record their
second album 'We're Getting There Aren't We'. The CD was produced by Alan
Smyth, who has previously recorded the Artic Monkeys. The album was crowd
funded and launched at The Memorial Hall, Sheffield in July. It is a
gem.
On October 24th they will again bring their band, comprising of Tom
Howe (guitar), Pete Howe (violin) and Robin Baker (double bass). They will play
songs from the new album and old favourites from 'Stories From A
Suitcase'.
At the February headliner Rita Payne took things to another
level, watch them go up another notch this time.
Supporting will be Luke Jackson, a 19 year old
songwriter from Canterbury.
Although
his roots are in folk music, Luke's guitar technique and dynamic voice suggest
an emerging rock star.
