The NME report that Arctic Monkeys announce new live album recorded at London’s Royal Albert Hall As with the 2018 gig, all proceeds from the album will go to War Child
The album, out on December 4, was recorded at the band’s 2018 show at London’s Royal Albert Hall. As with the gig itself, all proceeds from the release of the album will go to War Child, as the band explained in a series of tweets announcing the album.
“On June
7 2018 we played a special show at London’s Royal Albert Hall,” they wrote.
“All proceeds from that night were donated to War Child in support of the vital
work they do protecting, educating & rehabilitating children who have
experienced the trauma of conflict and the horror of war.”
The band added: “The situation that was bad in 2018 is now desperate and those children and their families need our help more than ever.
“To enable War Child to reduce
their funding deficit and continue their valuable work, we are releasing a live
album, recorded on that evening. All proceeds will go direct to the charity.”

Glasshouse Acoustic, Peterborough, A covid Session 25, October 2020 live-streams
There will be two Facebook live-streams on Sunday 25th October: at 3pm
TOOFA (Graham Cleaver and Andy Hodgson), and at 4pm Charity Stow.
Link for Charity: https://www.facebook.com/charitystowmusic/
Link for Glasshouse: https://www.glasshouseacoustic.org.uk
Bio for TOOFA
TOOFA are harmonic duo Graham Cleaver and Andy Hodgson, playing bluesy-rock-and-roll including songs by the Beatles and the Rolling Stones.
Charity Stow is an up and coming singer-songwriter based in
Nottingham. She hails from a musical family and has found her
unique sound with support and guidance from her father, Jack.
Both are self-taught musicians, which
explains Charity’s intuitive
attitude towards music, which has always been a big part of her
life: her song writing has been shaped by the music of the greats,
such as Carole King, Bob Dylan and The Beatles.
Add into to this influential mix new
artists such as Billie
Marten, Daughter and Lucy Rose, who continually inspire her, and
Charity’s niche sound makes perfect sense. There’s a real sense of
making something new without losing the roots of the old.
Charity’s hometown is the small,
quaint town of Stamford and since
leaving there to move to Nottingham she has taken much more of an interest in song
writing. Sometimes a dramatic change is what is
needed to ignite a young songwriter working her way through a new
phase in life and the inevitability of feeling lost without the
bubble of home to guide you.
Song writing is a form of therapy for
Charity and you can hear this through the honesty of her lyrics
and passion behind the tracks.
Charity is finding her own place in
the music scene and is
creating a unique sound through which to channel her experiences.
‘here’ is her debut, original single
and it gels her old-time,
soulful influences with a modern and exciting feel

“This is as close as we're going to get this year to playing live and for us to play to people. Introducing: MID‐SÖMMER MUSIK. A 60‐minute special featuring performances of brand new never-before-heard songs, full band versions of tracks from 'On Sunset' & 'True Meanings', plus spoken interludes from Paul. The show will stream globally online, with different tickets available depending on your timezone/location. After its premiere, it will also be available to watch back for 7 days after so you can watch it at your convenience as many times are you like. Tickets go on sale this Friday October 16th at 9am. Lodged by journalist Michael Skidmore, the estate of late guitarist Randy Wolfe from US band Spirit sued Led Zeppelin in 2014 claiming that ‘Stairway To Heaven’ ripped off the introduction from Spirit’s 1968 track ‘Taurus’.
Led Zeppelin were cleared of plagiarism following a six-day trial in Los Angeles in June 2016; however, Randy Wolfe’s estate launched an appeal in 2018.
The original verdict was upheld by the 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco in March of this year, and yesterday (5th October), the US Supreme Court refused to hear the case, bringing Led Zeppelin’s six-year battle to a categorical end.

AC/DC confirm
reunion with Brian Johnson, Phill Rudd and Cliff Williams
The iconic rock band shared a
video of a lightning bolt, like the one from their logo, on their Twitter page
on Monday (28.09.20).
Then a poster appeared with
"PWR UP" on it outside Sydney's Ashfield Boys High School, where
guitarist Angus Young attended, while fans were directed to sign up for the
latest news on the 'Thunderstruck' rockers by entering their details on the
pwrup.acdc.com website.
Now, the band have revealed their lineup with what appears to be an album cover on Twitter featuring the band members, which is captioned: "ARE YOU READY? #PWRUP."
Johnson is returning to vocals following a four-year break, after he was forced to quit the group in 2016 on doctor's orders due to progressive hearing loss.
Sticksman Rudd, meanwhile, was replaced on the 'Rock or Bust' tour in 2015, after pleading guilty to a threat to kill charge and for possession of methamphetamine and cannabis.
Bassist Williams had also retired in 2016, but will be back along with guitarists Angus Young and Stevie Young.
It's been suggested that 'PWR UP' could be the title of their new album. Johnson was previously reported to have been back in the studio with his bandmates working on a new record. And Twisted Sister's Dee Snider recently claimed AC/DC's new album has some "jaw-on-the-floor surprises" from late band member Malcolm Young.
He spilled: "I had dinner with [AC/DC singer] Brian [Johnson] recently, and we talked about [the band's return to activity].
"He told me a lot of stuff, and a lot of stuff that I don't wanna say. "But we know from the photos, and Brian confirmed it, they've been in the studio, they've been recording. "The original - I don't say the 'original' guys, because a lot of 'em are gone, but I say the 'classic' lineup is back together and there are some surprises, which I can't talk about, regarding Malcolm Young that just had my jaw on the floor.
"I will say he will be present. So this is AC/DC as we know and love them."
AC/DC's last studio album was 2014's 'Rock or Bust'.
