Tom Adams: Still Score @ Lincoln Drill hall Tuesday 21 October

Tom Adams: Still Score taking place in The Room Upstairs @ Lincoln Drill hall
Tuesday 21 Oct 2014 7.30 pm

In February 2013, Songwriter and theatre maker Tom Adams bought a slide projector and 500 slides from eBay. The slides were of people he did not know but he could not help asking, what is their story?

Tom performs a live soundtrack of music, comedy and stories to these images in a gentle exploration of mortality. He also searches through images of his own life, placing them side by side with the strangers, wondering if his memories will, one day, be just a slide sold on eBay.

“Funny, touching & ultimately life affirming. You leave with a tear in your eye, but a skip in your step”

Tickets: Tickets: Free but audience members will be asked to pay what they felt it was worth as they leave

Faustus @ Lincoln Drill Hall Tuesday 07 Oct 2014 8pm

Nominated in the 2009 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, the Faustus triumvirate are 3 of the leading lights of their generation: Saul Rose (Waterson:Carthy, Whapweazel), Benji Kirkpatrick (Seth Lakeman Band, Bellowhead) and Paul Sartin (Bellowhead, Belshazzar’s Feast). They have a plethora of experience between them, brought together here in a virtuosic display of musicianship and testosterone. Rooted deeply in the English tradition, in 2007 they received a 75th Anniversary Award from the English Folk Dance and Song Society.

‘A blend of energy and musicianship that establishes this trio as one of Britain’s outstanding folk band’ The Guardian

‘Dylan Howe – Subterranean’ is a new album that re-works the instrumental cuts from David Bowie’s Berlin albums, Low and Heroes, investing them with new life whilst remaining true to their original spirit. A specially-made film will also be projected during the concert. Established for over 20 years as a successful performer, Andy Sheppard is one of the very few British musicians to have made a significant impact on the international scene from solo to big band settings and to our knowledge he has not previously appeared in Lincoln. A special band with extra special musicians playing the music of a very special star. Check It Out!
