Named in the Chicago Tribune's list of '50 Most Significant Songwriters of the last 50 years. Performing solo armed with just his voice, his acoustic guitar and acute commentary, Danny is the authentic troubadour, one man sharing the truth in the form of songs, unadorned and intimate.  The understated effect is powerful. In March this year he released his ninth studio album 'Standard Deviation'.  It is articulate, thoughtful, intelligent and melodic, a quiet masterpiece. All of Danny's songs carry the power of fine poetry.  They are filled with nimble wordplay and convey weight, depth and substance. Her story is well known.  In 2010, whilst living in London she sent a demo tape to Shawn Mullins.  He was impressed and invited Callaghan over to Atlanta and offered to produce her debut album 'Life in Full Colour'.  It was a classic case of taking a risk and throwing your life into upheaval to chase your dreams.  She stayed in Atlanta for three years before moving to Nashville and then LA and has played all across America. She has recorded three more albums 'A History of Now', 'Acoustic Coffee House' and 'Callaghan' and is in the process of recording 'Acoustic Coffee House 2' Callaghan is blessed with a beautiful sweet and soothing voice, a strong knack for pretty and harmonic melodies .  She has a warmth and purity of spirit that shines through in her performances. Lynne Hanson and the Good Intentions Saturday 17th November at Kirton In Lindsey Town Hall

TOWN HALL LIVE   presents LYNNE HANSON & THE GOOD INTENTIONS on  SATURDAY 17TH NOVEMBER  with support from AMY ANDREWS Lynne Hanson started playing guitar as a teenager, eventually working her way to an award winning debut album in 2006.  Tow more albums quickly followed and each garnered critical approval.  Lynne then took time out, before returning in 2014 with the excellent 'River of Sand', which saw her writing mature into a more intuitive and visceral style.  'Uneven Ground' followed in 2017 and explores giving sound advice through song writing and fighting back against the devil within us. At first listen, Lynne Hanson's warm, but gritty music leads you to think of America's South, but Lynne is in fact from Ottawa, Canada. Her sound is born honestly, through a lifetime of experiences and influences expressed through rock, blues and roots music that bleeds from her very being.  Her songs are familiar and comfortable, fearless and strong.  Her bluesy croon is pure and full of passion. At the start of 2018, Lynne teamed up with Lynn Miles to release an album and tour under the name of The LyNNeS.  Both were a great success. Now she is back with her band, The Good Intentions which again features MJ Dandneau on bass, plus new members Kevin Corbett on lead guitar and Cody Iwasiuk on drums. Lynne's previous performances at Town Hall Live have been a joy and we are sure that this concert will be no different. This concert is on Friday 7th December Danni Nicholls effortlessly slips from smoky soul, folk-pop and heart wrenching alternative country, all in her trademark rich, velvety voice. Danni's start continues to rise, with two consecutive Americana Music Association Award nominations for Album of The Year in 2017 and Artist of the Year in 2018.  She also performed at this year's Folk Alliance International in Kansas.  In May this year she embarked on her next musical journey, making a new studio in Nashville with renowned producer Jordan Brooke Hamlin.  It will be released in early 2019. Danni will be accompanied by two members of the Lauren Housley Band, Tom Dibb on lead guitar and Mark Lewis on bass. Two Great Gigs Coming Up at Kirton Town Hall

TOWN HALL LIVE   WE HAVE TWO CONCERTS COMING UP IN QUICK SUCCESSION AND THE WILL BOTH BE FANTASTIC - THE FIRST IS ON FRIDAY 7TH SEPTEMBER  with GREG RUSSELL & CIARAN ALGAR Greg Russell and Ciaran Algar are two time BBC Folk Award winners and are two of the most sought after UK folk-rock duos. It could be their pull no punches song writing.  It could be Russell's remarkable voice and Algar's distinctive and fluid fiddle.  It could be their take on traditional songs, their empathy, infectious concerts or the way they tackle topical issues.  Whatever it is, Greg Russell and Ciaran Algar have got it Since they got together in 2011 the pair have released four albums, the latest of which ' Utopia & Wasteland' came out at the beginning of 2018.  All four contain mainly self penned songs, telling stories and issue relevant statements about the world past and present. All feature Greg's superb guitar playing and voice that is ideally suited to the folk genre, whilst award winning fiddle player drives the music along. Live they bounce off each other, with entertaining tales of life on the road and beyond. Their camaraderie and playing is infectious and leads to a thoroughly entertaining evening. The band undertook their first UK tour last year and it was an outstanding success with many sold out shows.  This year's concert is the penultimate date of the tour.  The bands' back catalogue is a match for anyone's.  There is an emphatic and charming wit to Amanda's song writing.  She has a knack for accessing a deep well of emotion and applying it to her story telling. Her singing song writing and presence in unmatched in Americana.  She is simply breath taking and so good it's ridiculous, her singing, song writing and presence is unmatched in American music.
