The Blues Band at St. Mary In The Castle Saturday, April
23rd
The
Blues Band was formed in 1979, by ex Manfred Mann group members, Paul Jones and
Tom McGuinness, originally to play a few pub gigs.
The Blues had always been
their first love, indeed Manfred Mann for a short time backed Sonny Boy
Williamson and Tom’s first band, the Roosters, also included a young Eric
Clapton.
Paul & Tom were to be joined by slide guitarist Dave Kelly, who
brought in Gary Fletcher to play bass guitar, while Hughie Flint sat on the drum
stool.
Rob Townsend later replaced Flint, otherwise the line-up is still the
same today.

that will leave you popping with excitement. As you run, walk, dance or skip
around the course, you will encounter a number of Coloured Bubble Stations,
which will cover you from head to toe in frothy foam.
We
would love you to join us for this brand-new, fun event, not only to help St
Andrew’s Children’s Hospice, but to have a bubbly, fun time with your friends
and family. Don’t worry if you are not a runner, because the course will be a
