Look Out; It's The Broombusters

Look out it’s
THE BROOMBUSTERS
The greatest Rock’n’Roll, Blues & Ska Party
On this – and probably any other – planet

Born in the heart of Big City Birmingham, fronted by the wild, wacky – and not a little scary – Charlie Wolfman Sylvester, this five piece combo generates enough power onstage to blast off into space, which can happen on a not irregular basis.

Wolfman is the band’s secret weapon, and it’s not surprising that the man has a background - and what a background.

Remember the exuberant and colourful JALN Band that seemed to inhabit – alongside Kool & The Gang and Chaka Khan - the Top of the Pops Studio throughout the 70s and 80s with a seemingly endless run of disco soul hits?

Managed by pop guru Pete Waterman the band toured the world for some 25 years and clocked up hit after hit. And that’s where The Wolfman came from, the star of The JALN Band.

Then The Wolfman decided to return to his roots – and The Broombusters were born.

Extravagant, entertaining, infectious enthusiasm and danceability in spades – that’s The Broombusters.

Coming at you.

Don’t duck, just dance.

Kirton Town Hall Live

Friday 5th December

2014 has undoubtedly been Town Hall Live’s best year ever, with 14 wonderful concerts from some wonderful artists from America, Canada and the UK.

We finish off the year with a Christmas concert from Belfast based singer song writer Ruth Trimble.

Last year she released a Christmas album ‘Each Christmas Till Then’ which features 9 well known carols along with two of her own Christmas songs.

In May this year Ruth endeared herself to the audience when she played keyboards, bass and percussion in Kimmie Rhodes band.  She also plays in Beth Nielsen Chapman's touring band.  She impressed us so much that we immediately asked her back to play a special Christmas concert.

Ruth is a multi- instrumentalist and has a unique style she pours emotion into her songs and music.  She will be accompanied by Clare Mulligan.

Supporting Ruth and Clare will be Leeds band The Fireside Knights, who will also play a Christmas set.

To embrace the Christmas theme there will be hot mince pies and wine.  We would love you to experience the warmth of a Town Hall Live concert at this special show.

For more information and videos visit: www.townhalllive.co.uk

Advance tickets are priced at £11 otherwise £12.50 on the door. Tickets can be obtained from the One Stop store in the town, from Brian on 01652 649230 or from www.wegottickets.com
