Sat 9th	Saboteurs (Alternative/Rock) This 4 piece from Sleaford is a new and exciting band drawing on a wide variety of influences from the band members, playing a variety of rock, there is something for everyone.  Covering bands such as Joy Division, Stevie Wonder, Matha and The Muffins and so on.  Saboteurs also include some of their own material that is well worth a listen. 9pm start
Sat 16th	Forty Fiver (Post Punk/New Wave/Rock) A 4 piece from the Spalding area playing covers predominantly from the 1978 to 1983 period’ish.  Playing songs from Elivs Costello, The Police, Ian Dury, The Cars and many more. 9pm start
Fri 22nd	Steeler (Classic Rock & Blues) A group of session players playing classic rock and blues covers from Thin Lizzy, Free, Bad Company, Joe Bonamassa plus more. 9pm start
Sat 23rd	Special Riders Blues (Chicago Blues) This very accomplished 4 piece from Lincoln play in the spirit of Muddy Waters featuring great blues harmonica and slide guitar. Also playing the music of John Lee Hooker, Howling Wolf, Sonny Boy Williamson, Little Walter etc, music very much for dancing as well as listening to. 9pm start
Sat 30th	White Spirit (Classic Rock) White Spirit play kick-ass classic rock. From AC/DC to ZZ Top and pretty much everything in between. Peterborough's punchiest rhythm section, Louth's next guitar hero and powerful female vocalist. All your favourite classics and a few you haven't heard for a while too.  9pm start

Under The Covers are Chantelle and Shane a vocal/guitar rock duo with show full of classic rock hits including some of the most recent music with a rock twist.

The duo play to realistic drum backing tracks made using Cubase 5 / Toontrack EZ Drummer and recorded live bass guitar. Shane says; "We find that we can turn the tracks up or down to please our audience and they certainly keep us in time. We feel this makes us a little different to other duos”.

Lloyd Cole - Collected Recordings 1983-1989 boxset featuring B-sides & rarities

Lloyd Cole and the Commotions formed in 1982 when Lloyd was studying English and Philosophy at Glasgow University.   They signed to Polydor in '84 and their debut single 'Perfect Skin' lit up the nation's radios.  The dazzling debut album Rattlesnakes more than fulfilled their promise, littered as it was with hip literary references, cutting wit and sophisticated pop melodies.   Subsequent singles 'Forest 'Fire' and 'Rattlesnakes' and sell-out shows around the country announced in no uncertain terms that a cool, literate new band had arrived.  Second album Easy Pieces followed in Nov '85 and the singles, 'Brand New Friend' and 'Lost Weekend', were both big hits.  The bands third and final album Mainstream in '87 featured another of the band's signature hit songs 'Jennifer She Said'. A definitive career-spanning box set entitled Collected Recordings 1983-1989 will be released on 29th June '15.  The box set takes the listener from the band's earliest demos through the runaway success of their astonishing debut Rattlesnakes, their chart-topping follow-up Easy Pieces, their swansong Mainstream, and, with the inclusion of B-sides, demos and rarities, it provides the definitive guide to one of the most fascinating bands of the 80s.

All professional session musicians, the band come together to perform the music that they love led by guitarist and singer, Tim Green. Tim Green is firstly a fan of the blues – Hubert Sumlin, Lightnin’ Hopkins and Freddie King licks can be heard hollering out of his Fender amp. 

His session guitar background has seen him playing in many theatres, arenas, recording studios and music venues up and down the country.

Frogbelly & Symphony UK/Ireland April 2015 Tour (a few dates left)

FROGBELLY & SYMPHONY (Brooklyn / Sheffield) - UK / IRELAND APRIL 2015 TOUR, A FEW DATES REMAINING Frogbelly & Symphony Frogbelly and Symphony are born of the clash and fusion that characterised the late 20th century. Disparate influences from the Old World to New York are brought together in the furnaces of Sheffield and Brooklyn, revealing a stylistic repertoire that injects the indigenous workingman’s soul into the periphery of the bohemian metropolis. Academically trained in traditional instrument playing and constantly experimenting with production techniques, the band systematically processes every imaginable acoustic influence. Coming from an experimental post-punk and noise approach on their first record, Frogbelly and Symphony have now put the material for their first full length album together. Song arrangements, the recording of the instruments and the environment in a technical and cultural sense are bound together. A progressive rock sound echoes in folk landscapes. Urban poetry, pop melodies and repetitive chants cast a rousing wave of contemporary performance. Frogbelly & Symphony Live in New York Frogbelly and Symphony have played over 100 shows in Europe, UK and US. Their sets usually feature a theatrical rock show, often involving the audience in pieces of improvised performance. However, paying tribute to their roots in folk music the band has also played a series of shows with acoustic instruments in pubs, clubs and rather intimate environments. The band performed their first series of shows in New York in early 2013, followed by 2 tours throughout 2013 across continental Europe and the UK. In the midst of their 2013 road schedule, Frogbelly and Symphony released an EP entitled “the EYE” (Labelship, UK). In September 2014 the band toured the east coast and midwest US, road-testing their new songs and performance featured on their forthcoming full length album. The tour was well received and was followed by several press appearances. WFUV Radio picked their pre-release Track “Patch of Blue” for the UK/NY shows and the band played an official CMJ showcase in NYC. The new album is by now set for release in April 2015. With a typically uncompromising approach to production values, the band has utilised the abilities of sound-engineer and producer legend Martin Bisi (Sonic Youth, Swans, Dresden Dolls, Bill Laswell) and tracked the album in the fabled BC studio in Brooklyn. It was subsequently finalised and mixed at The Laundry Rooms Studio in Sheffield, UK. Frogbelly & Symphony Meet the band: Liz Hanley – Vocals, keyboard, violin. From a Boston Irish family Liz expanded on her roots by studying classical violin at NYU and now lives in Brooklyn. She is a member of various traditional folk ensembles and can often be found at sessions around the globe. Tom Hanley – Vocals, bass, composition, production. Pendular between Sheffield, UK and Brooklyn NY he collaborates with engineers and studios on both sides of the pond in order to achieve the stylistic variety which has become the hallmark of Frogbelly and Symphony. Ben Trott – Guitar. Ben studied classical and jazz guitar in Sheffield, UK and is an integral member of the traditional folk music scene in the UK. He cross-links traditional playing, jazz rooted improvisations and brutalist rock barrages into a sound that is as distinctive as it is versatile. Ray Rizzo – drums. From Louisville, KY to Brooklyn, NY he has lent his skills as a drummer to artists like like Julia Stone, Trixie Whitley, Bonnie‘Prince’Billy, Glen Hansard, Ben Folds and Michael Shannon. He is also the initiator of Louisville’s Motherlodge festival. For Liz, Tom, Ben and Ray this band has become a canvas of their collective experiences and intellectual exchange. Often their ideas have previously been articulated by great writers throughout the ages. Frogbelly and Symphony idiosyncratically appropriates, shares and recreates words and tunes. They are not afraid to quote what has already been said perfectly: John Clare's An Invite to Eternity, Rumi's Ache and Confusion have left their imprints on their writing as well as fragments of Joseph Heller's Catch 22 and Langston Hughes' Vari-Colored Songs. TROLLFOLK - indie, folk-rock with attitude all the way from FINLAND! UK Tour 1 - 9 June 2015 TROLLFOLK DEBUT UK TOUR // 1 - 9 JUNE 2015 Trollfolk® is an indie world folk rock band from Joensuu, Eastern Finland. In 2010, singer Usi Riikonen fulfilled a long awaited dream to sing in her native language, Swedish. She gathered the best musicians and created Trollfolk®. A Finnish band performing Finnish indie-folk-rock with Swedish lyrics is not only a traditional contradiction, but also a musical rebellion. Conflict and musical dynamics made for enough explosive force, and off they went in Spring 2010 to unleash their sound on Finnish audiences. All members but the singer Usi Riikonen have Finnish as their native language. Most of the song’s lyrics are taken from traditional Swedish folk songs, and rearranged in Trollfolk’s own musical style. But Trollfolk® also writes and composes it's own material. Trollfolk’s roots are in North Karelian folkmusic, but rock, pop, jazz and even punk are clearly present. Their sound is fresh due to their first-class musicianship and songwriting, and their kick-ass attitude. Trollfolk® redefines Folk rock one more time. This time, it comes from Eastern Karelia, but different than expected. Trollfolk® takes the heart of Finnish Folk music and puts it into Swedish folk rock. Something truly spectacular. Trollfolk® made their first public appearance in November 2010 with great success. Right away, they went to the studio to record 3 of their songs, released in December 2010. Additional gigs followed, but the public wanted more! Trollfolk® has played many festivals and venues in Finland but will make a short trip to the UK in June 2015 for the first time. Plans for completing their record are currently in progress and their first ever UK Tour from 1st June - 9th June 2015.
