March Manouche, A Weekend of Jazz and Swing Music.

The big weekend of swing, gypsy jazz and manouche music inspired by the 1930s and 40s.

Tickets are available to pre-order here...
www.marchmanouche.co.uk
You can also pay on the door at any of the concerts over the weekend but we recommend booking to avoid disappointment.

Workshop places are also still available so if you are looking for some new direction for your guitar playing or would like to improve your jazz skills, these bespoke workshops are just the thing for you!!!!

If you are just coming to listen and enjoy, you are in for a treat with some of the greatest acts in the manouche style right there on stage.
After hours will see lots of spontaneous jams starting up with musicians of all levels and abilities playing along side each other in informal settings around the town.

This really is a superb way to spend a weekend and at £45 for 3 days of quality acts, jams and the beautiful setting of Menai Bridge overlooking the wonderful views of snowdonia, we think it's a blinking good deal!!!!

Introducing Original Dutch Funk Unit The Jig

The Jig

Gut-Grinding Amsterdam Funk Machine
With a Rock ’n’ Roll Attitude

A seven piece funk outfit The Jig recently celebrated the release of its third album Proximo Disco.

The Jig is is one of few genuine professional funk bands, a tight pack that writes and plays only original tunes. Funk is an essential element of most popular music including hiphop, pop, disco and dance. The Jig from Amsterdam delivers the real deal, sounding urgent and up-to-date with their feverish horns, hairdo-disrupting guitar, sawing synths plus Hammond, face-slapping bass and uptight drums. They performed on many prominent stages and festivals in Holland and toured regularly through Germany, Belgium, Spain, France, USA and Brazil.

On Proximo Disco the band collaborates for the first time with a singer on three tracks: Mr. Ruben Seyferth. Although the instrumental band despises singers in general, they love Mr. Ruben who is joining the group for a large part of the set on live occasions. His voice can be described as a combination of Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler and Prince.

Those who have seen the band perform know The Jig invariably delivers a powerful, tight, passionate and festive live show.

‘Perfect combination of dirty greasy P-funk, the rolling rhythms of The Meters and the high quality performance of Tower of Power. Virtuosic solo’s, eager playing & fun. Go see them live!’ - Jazzism Magazine

album is packed with heavy funk with a rock ’n’ roll attitude combined with soul, afro, jazz and more. On Proximo Disco The Jig sounds more diverse and catchier than ever.

Playing For Change Foundation
Bringing change to the township of Gugulethu, South Africa

This year marks a decade of the Playing For Change Foundation; join us in celebrating 10 years of positive change through music as we highlight one of our music programs each month starting with the first school in South Africa.

South Africa was where we first broke ground with the Playing For Change Foundation music program in 2007. Since then, the Playing For Change Foundation has expanded programmatic efforts in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Each week 100+ students from 10 area primary schools attend weekly music classes at the Imvula Music Program in Gugulethu. These classes include lessons in guitar, vocals, drums, saxophone and keyboard/piano, as well as dance and marimba, and are led by six talented teachers.

One Love,
The PFC Foundation team
