Amanda, from Ottawa, is an award winning artist with a powerful, slightly gritty, deeply personal and instantly accessible folk-roots sound. Her increasing success in Canada, Europe and the UK stems from her ability to translate personal stories into messages, evoking a feeling of positivity to connect with her listeners. In July, 2016 Amanda released her fourth album 'Holding Patterns', which contains twelve descriptive songs some of which champions her native Indian heritage (Red Dress, in particular), whilst 'The Day The Mountain Fell' tells the incredible survival of her two year old cousin from a landslide. Amanda is a star in Canada, having performed at opening and closing ceremonies of several top sporting events.  She has spearheaded Bluebird North's songwriting showcase and performed for troops in Afghanistan.  In 2014 she was awarded the Canadian Folk Music Award and was nominated for a Juno award for her album 'Catch A Fire' In November 2016 she toured Germany and Holland and now she is back in the UK for a 16 date tour.  She will be joined by ace guitarist Anders Drerup and Anna Ruddick on electric and upright bass. For his Town Hall Live concert Gren will be joined by Sarah Smout on cello and harmony vocals and Julia Disney on keyboards, violin and harmonies.  The band deliver stunning harmonies, intricate string arrangements for cello and violin.  They have been captivating audiences across the UK and creating music that is enthralling, persuasive and masterful, whilst showcasing Gren's phenomenal guitar playing and poetic lyrics. Lauren's debut album 'Sweet Surrender' is a killer, no filler affair with a number of tracks already play listed or on prime spot play on Radio 2 by the likes of Chris Evans, Terry Wogan , Jeremy Vine, Bob Harris and Robert Elms. all of whom know a good tune when they hear one. Callaghan's voice is unmistakable.  Her eclectic American pop sound stands out like a gem.  She is a truly talented performer and is a favourite of Bob Harris, Jeremy Vine and Alex Lester. The week before her concert she will again play the C2C concert at Excel in London and is due to perform at Bob Harris's Under The Appletree Festival in Silverstone at the end of May. The band's rich mix of Americana and soul is intoxicating.  Danny's voice oozes character and the Champs are all top musicians. Their 2103 album 'Stay True' was one of the year's best albums.  In 2014 they followed it up with a double live album 'Live Champs' recorded at The Jazz Café in London.  Early this year they brought out 'What Kind of Love'  which got 5 star reviews across the music press. Live they are simply flawless and take the music to another level, they are like Springsteen filtered through a stack of Stax 45's. Rod has toured the UK every year since 2001 and has built up a substantial following over that time.  Live he is extremely entertaining.  Whilst his songs make the listener think, his between song banter make audience members laugh and smile.  He is the complete entertainer. The Good Lovelies are Caroline Brooks, Kerrie Ough and Sue Passmore.  They will be joined on the tour by ace bassist Marie Josee (MJ) Dandenau, who some of you may remember as being a member of Amanda Rheaume's band when they played here in September 2014. The Good Lovelies are funny and upbeat and play with a pinch of sass.  Live their good humour, camaraderie and self-assurance shines through.  Throughout their set they constantly swap instruments - acoustic and electric guitars, mandolin and banjo.  With MJ playing bass, Kerrie will also play keyboards and Sue will play drums and percussion.  With each girl taking it in turns to sing lead vocals, we know that their three part harmonies complete the package. Support will come from Gary Stewart, a singer songwriter from Leeds, who also plays drums for the band Hope & Social.  He was the bassist for Ellen & The Escapades and also plays in a duo with Rosie Doonan. They were due to headline in March last year, but had to cancel at the last minute due to an illness to lead singer Sam Kipling. Wilful Missing are uniquely different, their music is beautifully inventive and their song writing intelligent.  Their latest album 'Molehills out of Mountains' is carefully crafted. On album and in concert they play a host of instruments from cahon to pipes, banjo to accordion & keyboards and drums to produce a rich Americana sound, interspersed with Irish melodies and continental vibes, all underpinned with Sam's cracked vocals. They describe themselves as alternative, acoustic folk rock, but they are more than that. We welcome back The Fireside Knights as support. They last played in December, 2014 and we just had to have them back.  We look forward to hearing Rachel's crystal clear voice, Steve's dynamic lead bass and Mark's guitar and mandolin.
